Australia-based DroneShield and Denmark's Terma have signed a memorandum of understanding to collaborate on counter-UAS capabilities, underscoring growing demand for integrated air defence solutions.
- Counter-UAS operations increasingly demand interoperable, multi-sensor solutions that can be deployed rapidly and scaled across diverse operational environments, said Louis Gamarra, chief commercial officer at DroneShield.
AdvertisementThe agreement brings together DroneShield, an Australian specialist in counter-drone technology, and Terma, a Danish defence and aerospace company. The partners aim to combine their respective systems, spanning detection, electronic warfare and command and control, into interoperable solutions.
AdvertisementThe collaboration reflects a shift towards layered counter-UAS architectures, in which multiple sensors and technologies are integrated to match specific operational environments and evolving threat profiles.
A central focus is AI-enabled sensor fusion, combining data from multiple sources to improve situational awareness and detection accuracy. This is seen as critical to enabling faster, more reliable operational responses.
